A Family Legacy of Craftsmanship, Innovation, and Community

Olive Glass & Marble began with a simple belief: quality work and honest relationships build strong foundations. In 1985, Hunter and Mary Erwin Olive opened their doors on Robeson Street with little more than determination, mechanical creativity, and a passion for building something lasting for their family and their community. What started as a small local shop focused on glass, mirrors, and shower doors has grown into one of Fayetteville's most trusted names in custom stone and glass fabrication.

For nearly four decades, we have remained a family-owned and family-operated business, guided by the same values we started with: craftsmanship, integrity, and treating every home or commercial project like it is our own.

From Glass to Stone — How It All Began

In the early days, our team fabricated storefronts, mirrors, commercial glass, and custom shower doors. As the region grew, so did the demand for natural stone. By the early 1990s, we were crafting marble thresholds and fireplace surrounds; by the mid-1990s, the business naturally expanded into kitchen and bathroom countertops.

Hunter — always mechanically curious — embraced the challenge of stone fabrication at a time when only a handful of fabricators existed in North Carolina. With Mary Erwin by his side, the two blended their knowledge of both industries, recognizing how naturally glass and stone complemented each other. Their vision built the foundation of what OGM is today.

A Business Built on Family

Olive Glass & Marble is not just owned by a family — it is run by one.

Hunter and Mary Erwin continue to lead with the same pride they did in 1985. Their son, Sedberry Olive, returned home to join the company in 2003 and now oversees operations, templating, and scheduling for the stone division. Their son-in-law, Brennan Binkley, manages the showroom and glass division, guiding customers through product selections and ensuring every detail is handled correctly.

Many of our team members have been with us for more than a decade — some more than two. That kind of loyalty is not common in this industry, and it speaks to the heart of our business: we take care of our people, and in return, they take care of our clients.

Where Craftsmanship Meets Technology

What started with hand-cut glass now operates using some of the most advanced stone fabrication technology in eastern North Carolina.

Over the last several years, we have invested heavily in digital templating tools, SlabSmith software, and precision cutting equipment — including a state-of-the-art 5-axis CNC robotic saw by Park Industries, one of the only machines of its kind in Fayetteville.

Resilience That Defines Us

Our company was tested in a major way during Hurricane Matthew in 2016. Forty-plus inches of water flooded our showroom and production facility overnight.

The devastation was immense.

But our team — our family — came together instantly. Everyone stepped up, cleaned up, repaired, rebuilt, and pushed forward. Within weeks, we were fabricating and installing again. That experience did not break us; it made us stronger, tighter, and more committed to our clients than ever before.

Meet the Team Behind OGM

Hunter & Mary Erwin Olive — Founders

Fayetteville natives, UNC Chapel Hill alumni, and the heart of the OGM story. From real estate and auto glass to storefronts, shower doors, and stone, they built this company from the ground up.

Sedberry Olive — General Operations Manager

Oversees daily operations, templating, and stone fabrication scheduling. Sed ensures every project is measured, planned, and executed with precision.

Brennan Binkley — Showroom & Glass Division Manager

Guides clients through stone and glass selections, manages glass fabrication orders, and supports both residential and commercial projects.

Brett Ciccone — Installation Supervisor

Leads our stone installation crews, ensuring clean, smooth installs and supporting clients throughout the installation process.

Jason Lawrence — Stone Fabrication Supervisor

Manages shop equipment and oversees fabrication accuracy. Part of OGM since 2003, transitioning into stone in 2010.

Elvin Perez — Senior Stone Installer

Brings decades of stone experience, joining OGM in 2002. Known for clean craftsmanship and meticulous installation detail.
